Miguel Rodrigues, Tecmic’s Passenger Transport Business Area Director, tells us about the importance of on-board technical systems for the adaptation and improvement of Passenger Transport driving behaviours. Miguel Rodrigues – Tecmic was a pioneer in embracing these kinds of concerns, even before the increase in energy prices put the world on alert […] With our platform the operator can, through the use of a systematic and uniform mechanism, manage both the vehicle’s and the driver’s performance, allowing the strengthening of a reward culture within a sector where often the quantification of performance and motivation is difficult to achieve.

At Tecmic we are constantly evolving our systems and at the conceptual level we have lots of ideas being tested… However, there are recent XTraN Passenger modules that are effectively new. Besides the Driving Monitor module, we have the Passenger Counting System module (Counter) and on-board information module (Infotainer) that is a mix between service information and multimedia contents (advertising) (…) but there is more and basically I would say that we are currently expanding our offer in a very interesting way for clients that work with us.
